Holloway earns NAIA All-American Standing at Nationwide Championship

JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The St. Andrews College ladies’s wrestling workforce was represented on the Nationwide Affiliation of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Nationwide Championship by standout grappler Gabrielle Holloway, who walked away as an NAIA All-American and a sixth place end within the 155 class.
Holloway kicked off the nationwide event with a pin over Alexandra Lopez of Menlo School (5:02). The win over Lopez superior Holloway to the quarterfinals within the championship bracket to face Latifah McBryde, a grappler from Life College.
McBryde, who completed second place general, knocked Holloway out of the championship bracket by tech fall.
Holloway recorded two wins over a pair of Grand View grapplers within the comfort bracket, profitable each by resolution to advance to the semifinals of comfort motion.
Holloway was topped in her ultimate two bouts.
